The Black Hole (1979) is a science fiction film about a research vessel, the USS Palomino, that discovers a lost ship, the USS Cygnus, near a black hole. The Cygnus, commanded by the mysterious Dr. Hans Reinhardt, is found to be defying the black hole's gravity due to a null gravity field.
